I belong from a middle class joint family with traditional thoughts, so my living is simple. I choose BAF as I want to make a career in finance. And I am planning to do MBA in finance after TY.
2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?
As a topper, I feel confident and motivated to do more hard work in future.
3) Whom will you credit your success to?
I credit God, my teachers and my family members who were always alongside me for support.
4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?
No, i studied whenever I wanted to but, not from day 1.
5) How did you study for Sem V?
As I said study when you want to. Don’t study under any pressure. Plan before you start studying any subject.
6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?
According to me, MA, tax and costing are easy as compared to other subjects.
7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
If you want to score more than always, write theory papers (ECO) in point form. Rest all are practicals.
8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
For cracking practicals, practice is the only way. Start solving board papers of previous years.
9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?
No, diagrams are not essential in Sem 5, if you are doing BAF.
10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?
Yes I prepared my timetable during exam times. Study theory especially economics for atleast 2 hours a day. If you are going for classes then give atleast 1 hour to self study and practical subjects.
11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?
Listen to music or do whatever you like to do for sometime if you get distracted and then start studying again.
12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?
If I become the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University then I will maintain the same pattern that is either 60-40 or 75-25 and stick to it as change in pattern may put pressure on students.
13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?
Keep your confidence intact. If you are scoring well then people will definitely recognize you. As far as name of the college is concerned then always keep one thing in mind that your journey doesn’t end in your college, you have to move far more ahead. Always be broad minded.
14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?
Competition is essential as it will motivate you to work hard in life. And always have faith in God. Choose your course very wisely. If you are opting for BAF it means that you want a career in accountancy and finance. You may even opt for CA as the syllabus is almost similar. Always work hard, be passionate and believe in yourself.
