1. My name is Martha Shema Ningeri. I have been in Sterling College for last 5 years. I like practical subject that is Accounts.
2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?
2. I never thought that I would be first. I was really happy.
3) Whom will you credit your success to?
3. Firstly I thank God then my teachers who supported me a lot and my mother who encouraged me.
4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?
4. No, not at all.
5) How did you study for Sem V?
5. I used to attend the lectures regularly and attentively.
6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?
6. CA, MA & FA-6.
7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
7. No special way but while writing answer write in bullets form and give relevant examples.
8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
8. We don’t have any case studies in sem-5.
9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?
9. We didn’t have any diagrams.
10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?
10. No study pattern adopted. I used to give one day for one subject so that I can concentrate on it.
11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?
11. By listening music or by watching TV for a while.
12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?
12. Keeping the students in view..I would see to it that change in paper pattern wouldn’t be brought with all of a sudden since it would affect students performance…also I would suggest atleast one holiday for each exam so that students get enough time to revise and stay calm.
13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?
13. It doesn’t matter whether you are from English medium or not. You should be
confident what u have studied and don’t be nervous while writing exam.
14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?
- In this competitive world one should not have the aim of only passing but scoring good %age and with skill and talent that can take us a long way in our career. For this, hardwork and struggle continuously is very important to keep up with such competitive environment.
