1) Tell us about yourself?
I am currently studying in TY sem VI in BAF. I had chosen this course as i want to make my career in accountancy. I wish to complete this course and work with a reputed firm to enhance my skills and knowledge.
2) How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in TY Sem V exams?
I am neutral to my results as i know that i do not have to stop here. I still have to go on a long way to achieve my goals in my life.
3) Whom will you credit your success to?
I will give credit of this success to my parents who were always there to help me in my life.
4) Did you start preparing from the first day of your TY Sem V?
No, initially i tried to understand the subjects and then i started studying.
5) How did you study for Sem V?
I regularly attended all the lectures without fail in my college and understand the concepts properly.
6) Which are the easy subjects in Sem V?
I like the practical subjects most. Easy subjects for me were FA VI and economics.
7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
No, just highlight the main and important points in the answer. I write the answers in bullet points.
8) How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
I just imagine the situation in my mind and think from the advisor’s point of view and write what i think is logical and practical in the real life.
9) Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?
Drawing the diagram is not mandatory but i don’t think it helps to get the good marks. We must write the correct answers and that is what is expected.
10)Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?
Everyday whatever i learn in college revise it at my home. I practice more and more practical problems of accountancy so that i can cover all the concepts in a topic.
11) How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?
I do the breathing exercise to control my mind and mood swings not only during exams but in daily life also. It helps me a lot to focus on my career and keep me away from distractions.
12) If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?
If i were made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University i will make it compulsory to read the business newspapers for the students as well as teachers. The students should learn what is going on in the real world’s business. The learning should not be restricted to the syllabus only.
13) Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?
It is a very common problem faced by the students from vernacular medium. There is no need to live under fear and lose confidence but they should learn English as it is very important in today’s competitive world. There are many websites which provide the English learning courses.
14) Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition?
I have learned to keep my mind cool and calm in every situation. This helps to get the strength to face the situation. In your life mission, do your duty whole heartedly, getting neither elated by success nor dejected by failure.
